مصطلح فريون Freon يعني الآلات التي تعمل على التبريد, وتعتمد في تكوينها على المواد الفلوروكربونية غير القابلة للاحتراق, لتكون مبردات وآلات تعمل على دفع (تسيير) الذرات الصلبة أو السائلة

هناك عدة أنواع من الفريون وهذا حسب قوة الضاغط و اختلاف الضغط
