Hi,
First try to get the datasheet or even the connection diagram of the stepper motor, you can get the wire connection using multimeter, many resource are on the net.

You can get a motor driver circuit from RAM or Future electronics and interface it with PIC, or get the ULN and interface it, the code should be simple, you need to put a pulse on each of the 4 wires (depends on the motor you use) the speed of those pulses will determine the speed of the motor. If you reverse the sequence, you can reverse the rotation direction
