B. Using Service Mode
1- Open the front door, and insert the door switch
actuator. If you want to make checks while
making copies (I/O display mode, for example),
set the desired copy modes.
2- Press the service mode switch (SW 501) using
a hex key.
- The copier shows ‘S’ on its display to indicate
that it has entered service mode.

3- Enter the number of the desired mode (Table 3
701) using the q key and the numeric keypad;
for example, q --t a + q .
4- Press the q or q key to select the screen.
5- Make checks or adjustments.
6- Clear service mode.
Press the RESET key ( ~23 ) once to leave
the mode.
Press the RESET key once again to clear
service mode.
Note that service mode will be cleared when
you switch off the copier or disconnect its
power plug; however, opening the right door,
delivery door, cassette feeding unit right door
or left door will not cancel service mode.
