Bid Proposal 5 - Wearable Health Product

Team 19 is proud to be able to enter a bid to create a new product based in the wearable health space. Sleep apnea is a major health issue that has affected a lot people and accurate diagnosis is vital. With all the new technology, we can develop an equipment that can help this problem.

Product Overview
Tiara is a headband that patients can wear to collect vital health readings for helping in diagnosis of sleep apnea. Currently a patient is required to spend the night at a special sleep centre so that medical staff can collect vital information for a diagnosis. It is not an easy procedure and it is uncomfortable for the patient to wear a lot of equipment to sleep at night.
There are many devices already in the marketplace to aid in the diagnosis of sleep apnea. There are two major requirements for this product is that it needs to be comfortable and can be worn at home .

Product Details
The Tiara is designed to read the important vital signs such as brain waves, blood oxygen, pulse rate, temperature, respiratory rate and head movement while you sleep with no wires and no tubes. Getting the ergonomics of the final product right will be challenging, but it is the electronics that require great innovation and will form the basis of early development.
